Sweet 'n Tangy Crock-Pot Pork

Total Time 5 hours hours 5 minutes minutes
Servings 4
Calories 274

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • 2 cloves minced garlic or 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Put pork chops in the crock-pot.
  • With a wire whisk, mix together soy sauce, ketchup, light brown sugar, garlic, and black pepper.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the meat.
  • Cook on LOW for about 5 hours, or until the meat is tender and moist.

Notes

The sauce in this recipe would work just as well with beef or chicken instead of pork.
Cooking in a crock-pot, the pork chops come out fork-tender every time. There’s not much you can do to ruin them.
If you prefer a variation, substitute the light brown sugar with granulated sugar.
The recipe can easily feed two, with two chops each.

Simply Eating Well

Patricia and Tom
Now that our nest is empty, Tom and I are enjoying quiet, intimate dinners at home. Simple meals. Smaller portions. The best cuts of meat. Organic vegetables. I’m always trying new recipes for 2 and still learning how to scale down the family favorites we’ve enjoyed through the years. Stay tuned.
